Team USA should have used the Flying V and other awesome Twitter trends from U.S.-Canada hockey
First and foremost, congratulations to the U.S. men’s hockey team for making it to the semifinals of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Ultimately, the 1-0 loss stings, but the U.S.-Canada hockey match did produce some amazing trends on Twitter. Take a look at this screenshot from around 11:15 PT:
Flying V was trending because Americans were wondering why Team USA didn’t take a page out of Gordon Bombay’s playbook and unleash it on Canada. It worked so many times for Charlie Conway, why couldn’t it for Zach Parise and Patrick Kane?
Team USA lost because they didn't use the Flying V OR the Knucklepuck. Just plain lazy, imho.

#LoserKeepsBieber is just plan hilarious. Unfortunately, looks like he is staying in the States for the time-being.

Also, Go Sweden. Because if you beat Team USA, we’re not going to be gracious losers.
Go Sweden is trending. LOL angry American fans…

In conclusion, America wins the gold medal on Twitter. And Go Sweden.
